New Features and Updates for the Customer Administration Portal
On May 23rd, 2022, the Customer Administration Portal will be updated with enhancements and fixes.
A new voicemail transcription feature will be made available in the Customer Administration Portal. Navigate to Manage Phone System and edit a user's account settings, then click on the Messaging tab and expand the Unified Messaging section. Use the slider to enable the Transcription feature and enter the user's email address in the "Forward a copy of this email to" section. The user will receive an email with the voice file attached and the transcribed text of the message in the body of the email.
Allow Different Ringtone for External Calls
An update is being added to allow for priority alert on external calls allowing users to distinguish call type based on ringtone.
The feature can be enabled by clicking Features from Manage Phone System,
choosing Priority Alert and then clicking Activate to enable the feature.
Once the feature is activated, it can be used on Users, Hunt Groups and Call Center queues.
For users, edit the user settings in the Incoming Calls tab:
The priority alert feature can be found in the Hunt Group settings as well,
and in the Call Center settings on the Queue Profile tab.
E911 Name Update
Under some circumstances the Caller's Name for E911 was not being updated. This fix corrects that issue. **This issue did not affect E911 functionality**
Customer Administration Portal Credit Card Fix
For customers setup to pay by credit card, an update is being applied to correct an issue where the page would get stuck loading while entering credit card information and then the information does not get updated.
